Light On My Face

Hello Dear Readers

Topshop- top, Gap kids- denim jacket, DIY- skirt and Urban Outfitters (Deena and Ozzy)- shoes)

I love this skirt! Hands down adore it. I have been wanting to make it for a while. It is inspired by that Culotte shorts from Zara that I swear every fashion blogger has. I think I actually may just buy the original, I love the cutout-overlay thing which the it has going on. When I originally saw the skort in zara I was a bit disappointed that it was not in a pattern (I love a good bit of floral in my life). So I decided to make my own (not quite like that, it took a bit of planning), I made the pattern pretty much from scratch. The fabric is from a Liberty skirt that I thrifted about a year ago and has been sitting in a pile waiting for me to do something with it. I really enjoyed making it and thought that I might share how to make it in another post (I kind of want one in another pattern).

I think it looks good with my simple white tee and denim jacket, it really shows off the skirt.

Hope You Enjoyed
Xoxo
